Rising auto insurance rates in New York put working-class families and immigrants in crisis

New York - Citizens for Affordable Rates has revealed in its new report that rising auto insurance rates in New York State have become a serious economic problem for the working class, immigrant communities, small businesses and delivery drivers. According to the report, the average annual cost of full coverage auto insurance in New York has exceeded $4,000, while the national average is about $2,400. The cost of just basic insurance policies for low-income and immigrant families has also reached $1,700 to $2,700 per year, which is often more than a month’s rent. Read more.
